PLOT
Petunia Elkwood's family is not normal. When her brothers leave to take up the family business, she follows them, even though they explicitly tell her not to. When she arrives in Melbourne, she finds herself continuously meeting with Todd Allison. She meets him by accident, runs into him a second time by accident and by the third time, they're accidentally neighbors. The family business has a habit of finding out where you live, though, and when it finds Todd Allison, Petunia discovers she's in deeper than she ever could have imagined.

CHARACTERS
Todd Allison, 23.
A surly young man who is about to finish his training to become a full-fledged Watchkeeper. Todd's final assignment is to solve the Violet Case, but when it turns out his neighbor is a hunter, things become even complicated.

Petunia Elkwood, 18.
Petunia ran away from home to follow in her brothers' footsteps and help them with the family business. She hunts alone, and it's much scarier than she ever thought it would be. Now, however, she has Todd Allison to accompany her. Even if things get a bit hectic, she really does appreciate his help. While Todd handles the casting, summoning, exorcising and so on, Petunia handles the guns, silver bullets, knives and general physical fights.

Cyril, ???.
Cyril is a tram conductor by day, seasoned hunter by night. In contrast to Todd and Petunia, he is very capable all around -- while Todd and Petunia split the work, Cyril is adept at both. He works with Landon, who seems to mostly work at home. Cyril sometimes joins them on their hunts.

Elijah Elkwood, 25.
Elijah is Petunia older brother by birth and one hell of a shoot. Elijah dearly loves his siblings, and would do anything to protect them. He works with Meredith, and everything they know they learned from their mother. Something is very mysterious about him.

Meredith Elkwood, 23.
Petunia's older brother by adoption, Meredith's family was killed in an attack. He was taken in by the Elkwoods, and he learned, with Elijah, all about the "family business". Now, the two live in Melbourne and are hunting together. Meredith is determined to stay by his brother's side.

Landon, ???.
Landon lives with Cyril and calls him Mr. Cyril. Landon lost his family when he mistook a skinwalker for a stray dog. Cyril arrived too late to save his family, but he took Landon in. He mainly stays down in the Eighth Lagoon, but he takes good care of it. Landon specializes in defensive skills.

Lowell Clancey, ???.
Clancey, as his colleagues call him, is a Watchkeeper. He's been assigned to keep an eye on the Violet Investigation Unit as they near completing the case. He seems particularly fond of Todd Allison, but even so, he's strict on him. Clancey knows Todd is working with Petunia, but since part of the job is training Hunters, he keeps his mouth shut. Clancey mains gives advice on cases that they come to him with.

Violet(?), ???.
A witch who is summoning a slew of paranormal creatures to do her bidding... supposedly. There is a group of Watchkeepers in Melbourne attempting to stop her. It is not a fast-going case.


GLOSSARY
DEMON A paranormal being from Hell. Rarely friendly.

EXORCISM A ritual conducted to remove a Demon from the body of a human.

HOLY WATER Blessed water that is used against unholy creatures.

HUNTER A human being who hunts supernatural creatures.

SKINWALKER A paranormal being that often takes the form of a dog. It is usually hostile.

WATCHKEEPER A group of people who train Hunters. These days, the Hunters train themselves. This doesn't keep the Watchkeepers from existing, of course, and they do sometimes find Hunters to train and work with. The Watchkeeper group in Melbourne is made up of trainees, old and new, whose final assignment is to solve Violet's case.

WITCH A being, human or not, who practices witchcraft.
