IC INFORMATION
Characters Name: Natsumi Raimon
Age: It isn't canonly specified, but definitely early teens. I'd place her around fourteen.
Canon Point: Post season 2, but prior to season 3.
Species: Human
Gender: Sexually and mentally female.
Orientation: Natsumi is shown to be attracted to Endou in the first series, and in the second series, she's married to him. So I'd like to mark this down as Heterosexual, though obviously with this being a young children's anime, there isn't much focus on romance at all.

History: Here!
Appearance: be sure to put your sunglasses on before clicking you might be BLINDED BY PERFECTION
Personality:
Natsumi, essentially, is a deconstruction of your typical Ojou trope. The series begins with a simple conflict: The soccer club is in trouble and might be demolished. It's a useless club with one member, only costing the school more damage than good. Natsumi is the daughter of Chairmon Raimon, and acting in his place, wanted the club disbanded; she's heavily against the club keeping together and in an attempt to prove this, sets challenges up for Raimon's soccer club. Endou's greatest love is, after all, soccer, so Natsumi acting an obstacle to that, and using her father's name to do so, shows she can be pretty cold.

The series builds Natsumi up as a rich girl, and then slowly introduces her to the life of a normal girl. She begins the series riding around in a limo, and by season two, she's going along with the entire club in the Inazuma caravan. Of course, there's a lot of stuff that happens in between then -- but that's the important thing to remember. Natsumi began the series as the girl trying to demolish the soccer club, and she finishes it off by being one of the three managers of the club. It's a very significant change, and while her base personality remains the same, she definitely changes through the series.

Inazuma Eleven, at large, is about soccer, and Natsumi's life has been greatly affected by the sport. She's changed into a much different person because soccer has entered her life, and that's a very important thing to remember. Natsumi is arguably the one of the characters out of the entire series who shows the most development -- though everyone is very well developed. She goes from being, in a word, a rich biscuit, to being a normal girl.

Outwardly, Natsumi begins cold and prideful, and while that pride definitely sticks with her, she becomes a more warm person through her interactions with Endou and the rest of the club.

She begins to show genuine compassion and care for the club. Endou, especially, gets this treatment; his love of soccer is what keeps the team together, after all. But Natsumi admires Endou for his unwavering confidence, and it's even noted that this is why she likes Raimon (and later, Little Gigant). Her admiration of Endou goes beyond just that, however -- Natsumi 'studies abroad' in season three of the first series, but this is a cover story for her going out in search of Endou's supposedly deceased grandfather. She's incredibly dedicated to Endou, a trait she only shows towards her father, usually.

In fact, a lot of Natsumi's personality is influenced by her father -- this is likely because she often acted in his place as Raimon Jr. High's chairman. It's put her in a position of power and his position as chairman has given her a charmed life: She has a butler and a limo and she's never had to cook before. This isn't particularly surprisingly, considering (as I said) she's a rich girl being introduced into the life of a normal girl. Most of this is new to her, though anyone would probably be new to wearing a maid uniform -- especially a maid cafe's uniform.

She's calm and collected in most situations, approaching things with a level head, this is best seen when she calmly asks Hitomiko to continue to be Raimon's coach in their fight again Aliea Academy during season two. While the rest of the cast is split on whether or not to trust Hitomiko, as she's made it known she was aware of Fubuki's whole keeping-the-spirit-of-his-dead-little-brother-alive-in-his-scarf thing and still put him on the team, Natumi calmly approaches her after the reveal and asks her to continue coaching the team. Natsumi understands that Hitomiko is doing what she can to win and asks her to keep that up, while everyone else was busy feeling hurt that she let Fubuki get that far gone.

There's also the fact she is incredibly capable of keeping conversation with adults; you might even say she seems to be better at it than she is with conversing with kids her age. Considering the fact she's so 'mature', it's natural she fits in better with people older than her -- though that isn't to say Natsumi isn't capable of conversing with children her age. It's simply note-worthy that she's conversationally on level with an adult. After all, it's pretty often these adults are twice her age; she didn't even flinch when she met the Prime Minister.

But for all that, for all her so-called maturity, Natsumi could still do with some growing. Inwardly, she's quite warm and surprisingly pleasant, even if initial appearances give the wrong impression.

That said, she's still affected by her rich girl upbringing: It's noted that while Natsumi does like to help, she doesn't like to get her hands dirty.

Abilites: ⇨ Nothing magical, even though she's from a series about super dimensional soccer, she doesn't play soccer in anime canon.
⇨ She is a truly awful cook.
⇨ And she never gets better at it. Ever.
Other: One time they tried to teach Natsumi how to make rice balls and instead of them coming out round they came out like globs of sadness. They had to have her shake it around between two bowls for it to make a circle.

First Person:
Is it on? [ The cool female voice filtering out of the speakers sounds calm and collected, if incredibly young. She's clearly not a young adult, at least. ] Haruna would be able to tell better than me. [ And she might sound a bit spoiled. Just a bit. ]

A lawn chair isn't a very good sleeping spot, so I don't really appreciate being dropped off there, of all places. You should reconsider your drop-off methods. Additionally, I'm aware that demanding to go back isn't going to work, so perhaps we can work out some negotiations. If you're hearing this, Kidnapper, a prompt response would be preferred than a slow one. I have a soccer club to manage, and lots of work to do. [ Yes, the fourteen year old is propositioning The Landlord. You can laugh now. ]

For the time being, I'll introduce myself. I'm Natsumi Raimon, and I hope my... [ There's a pause, and then she clears her throat. ] family, as this kidnapper wants me to think of them, will take good care of me for my short stay.

Third Person:
Being the only member of a household is an incredibly lonely task, but at least it means Natsumi only has herself to take care of. It's doubly easy in that meals are incredibly easy to procure, probably, but it's her first night here and she hasn't cooked for herself before. She's done a few things with Haruna and Aki, for the team, and by extension herself, probably, but she's never cooked like this. She's never been in the kitchen on her own, with an apron tied tightly around herself, cooking for one person. It's kind of exciting, in a morbid way -- she's used to do things for the team before herself, now, since she's been a manager for so long. But still, it can't be too hard, right? Put some meat and seasonings into a pot, let it go for however long and then plate it and eat it. Making those onigiri was surprisingly easy once she got a hold of making them round (even though she didn't actually mold them round, she shook some rice in between two bowls until it made a ball) so this should probably follow suit, right?

But she's going through a cook book and this is seemingly slightly more difficult than it initially seemed. A roiling boil? Why can't she just use a rice cooker? She has to cut the meat a certain way before she cooks it? But why, won't it cook the same? Why are there so many different kinds of pans? This seems needlessly complicated, but it can't be that hard if she could do it with Haruna and Aki.

The problem is no matter how she cuts the meat, it doesn't look like the picture, and instead of boiling, the water just start to stink like burned socks. It takes her a few times, but eventually she gets the rice to boil, and eventually the meat is salvaged and she's capable of getting the show on the road, even if it's an hour later. She's entirely capable of taking care of herself, see? Natsumi is totally independent. She's capable of handling this situation just as well as anyone else.

"That wasn't so hard," she comments as she plates the meal. Just because she had to start all over three times doesn't mean it was "hard", there were a few minor setbacks, but as long as she reminded herself that Endou certainly wouldn't give up because some raw meat wasn't 'butterflying', as the cookbook so elegantly put it, she could put her best foot forward.

Except when she sits down to eat, she discovers it's near inedible -- the meat is hard like a rock, the rice tastes like a salty pudding and it's sticking to her plate for some baffling reason she can't comprehend right now.

And that's how Natsumi discovered she was an awful cook.
